New webstore, my birthday, a sale, new classes… and so much more!
I finally feel like I can take a breath, slow down, and enjoy the warm weather that has finally started to come here in Thunder Bay. Since March, I have been non-stop with shows, trips, family, and events… it is really lovely to finally have a little bit of a break to refocus and cross some stuff of my to-do wish list!
June is probably my favourite month – not only because it is my birthday month (although that is pretty wonderful!), but it also marks the beginning of summer which means longer, sunnier, warmer days. My body is not one that is meant for the cold, it does not deal well, so being able to spend enjoyable time outside again (which includes FINALLY running outside!), really is a wonderful thing.
One of the big things on my to-do wish list since the beginning of the year has been to get my webstore up and running… and it now is! That’s right, you can now purchase directly off my website – and not just in-stock items, you can now directly purchase workshops on the website and will automatically receive the PDF Cutting & Prep document as soon as you purchase.
For this weekend only, I have my in-stock (Sun)Glasses Cases up on the website for purchase – so now is the time to get them before they come down on Monday! You can get them for $25 each INCLUDING tax and shipping anywhere in Canada.
The (Sun)Glasses Cases are a new product and are a soft-shelled case made with either a cotton or vinyl exterior and a cotton lining. They are interfaced with fleece for extra protection and are perfect for glasses or sunglasses. Grab a pair for your bag, your home, office, or vehicle… they also make great gifts for friends & family, and even fantastic end-of-year teacher gifts!
You will find a variety of fandom and non-fandom prints available!
How about a sale?!
With summer around the corner, and my birthday next week, I thought it was high time for a Summer Sling Sale! The Summer Sling is my own design and continues to be one of my most popular styles (and most frequently seen out in the wild!). It is perfect for long days outside exploring markets, spending time at the park or a concert, walking the dog, or chasing kids! It is big enough for the essentials, but still slim and small and perfect for hands-free days! It has a zippered top and an interior slip pocket and a removable crossbody strap.
From June 1st – 8th you can get the Summer Sling for $10 off ALL in-stock and custom ordered bags. In-Stock bags will be listed on the website, and you can send me a message through Facebook, Instagram, or email email@example.com to place a custom order! Want to know what prints are available? Just check out the albums on the Facebook Page. All orders need to be placed and paid for by 9pm on Saturday, June 8th to qualify for the sale.
Upcoming June Workshops
I am very excited about the upcoming workshops this month! I will be offering 3 workshops – The Necessary Clutch Wallet, The Filigree Double Zip Pouch, and the Dallas Vintage Duffel Bag!
You can now purchase the class and register online as well! Just click on each photo below to find out more about the workshop and register. Once you purchase, you will receive a PDF document to download that will include all your cutting and prep instructions for the class.
All 3 classes are beginner friendly, but you must have your own machine and be comfortable working with it. If you are curious about whether or not you have the skills for one of the workshops, just send me an email and I’d be happy to chat with you about it!
For more information about Workshop Policies, visit the Workshop Page.
Some other fun things!
June also brings a few more fun things to the mix! Don’t forget about the Handmade in the North Auction taking place June 19 – 20, 8pm-8pm. The theme this month is Do Re Mi and you will find a great selection of handmade items from makers and artisans from across Canada.
I will also be at Kraft Pop-Up Market on Sunday, June 23 from 12-3:30pm. This is a new event taking place at Sleeping Giant Brewery and you will be able to check out an amazing selection of local artists and crafters while enjoying some amazing craft beer (if you choose), and a great, local atmosphere! This is a great time to get those last minute end-of-school teacher gifts, stock up on some fun summer stuff, and just enjoy a day supporting local artists and artisans. Also, if you make it, be sure you come by and say hello!
June really is a fun-filled month, and I plan to get the most out of it – I really do love my birthday month!
